So in Hogsmeade, Gladrags tried to tell me that bright orange (like, tangerine, that sort of orange, not amber or pink-y orange or anything acceptable) is in at the moment. This is a lie. Don't believe them. Almost everyone looks horrible in orange. (Yes, even me.) Don't be fooled by their cruel lies, they just want your money. Also don't be fooled by those weird green robes they had in the windows with those ruffles that looked like tumours. I don't really know what that was. Maybe someone ran out of ideas so they were like 'I know, I will sew these lumps of bad quality green crap to this dress that would be perfectly nice without it. It will look like mould but that's okay because it's artistic'. No thanks.
Hogsmeade was nice, other than the (hugely distressing holy crap the world is falling apart) things mentioned above. It's good to get out of school for a little while, although I don't buy into the whole 'I need a date for Hogsmeade!' thing that was floating around the school. That makes me a bit sad. Although it gives Madam Puddifoot's loads of business, so I guess it's good for them. I don't know. Anyway, it was fun, and I have loads of sweets now. Tell me if you want some.
Things that have made me happy today: autumn leaves, blue skies, bacon at breakfast, Alice's hair looking particularly beautiful, not getting Care of Magical Creatures homework, not getting bitten or burned or clawed by anything in Care of Magical Creatures, my shoes turning the corner from new and uncomfortable to worn in, getting two letters, green ink, finishing my book. And more. These are just the first things to come to mind.
